Every year, around 3,000 students from all over California alone participate in this conference held by KCCC L.A. and 5 other regions around the United States. Korean Men Now Competing To Serve At DMZ

South Korea is one of the few countries left in the world which requires at least its male citizens to serve in the military for a certain number of years. Every man is expected to serve for 22 months in the Army, Navy, Air Force or Marines as a soldier or in another non-combat position. After 5 weeks of basic training these soldiers are sent to their units that are picked at random, and this was no exception for the men who were selected to serve at the General Outpost (G.O.P.) at the DMZ, the border that divides North and South Korea. Korea and US to Host Largest Military Exercise in History: Simulation of NK Invasion

In light of the North Korean government’s recent threats of starting a second Korean War, the U.S. and South Korean militaries announced that they will be hosting the largest joint military exercise that has ever been organized in the 65-year history of the Korean forces. The Chinese government reported that there are around 2.7 million people who have records of drug abuse who are under surveillance. A government spokesperson noted however that there are around 13 million Chinese citizens who are believed to be addicted to and illegally buying and selling drugs. 5 branches of Korea Campus Crusade for Christ (KCCC), one of the largest Korean-American Christian ministries for college students gathered at Moore Hall in UCLA for a collaborative night of worship on the 30th. A total of 5 campuses with KCCC ministries were present; UCLA, USC, Cal State Northridge (CSUN), Santa Monica College (SMC), and Glendale Community College (GCC). The students and staff were there to challenge members to participate in one of the campus ministry’s largest annual events – Higher Calling Conference. READ MORE

South Korea’s KBS reported that Korea has officially joined the war against the Ebola Virus. Korea’s Ministry of Defense had announced on the 29th that they will be dispatching military medical personnel to either Liberia or Sierra Leon. For the next 2 weeks the government will be recruiting troops and officers to be sent to West Africa to help with Ebola patients and other international medical personnel who were already working there.
