Pastor Ron Carpenter’s wife, Hope Carpenter returned to her church in S.C. after her husband rebuked church leaders who supported his divorce with her. Pastor Carpenter had revealed Hope’s marriage infidelities from the pulpit and led to her leaving Redemption World Outreach Center which she cofounded with her husband. The participants of this event came together for a time of intercessory prayer and worship to bring God’s blessings to the Korean and Korean American community in Orange County. Judge Arenda Wright Allen, an activist judge of the state of Virginia appointed by President Obama, ruled against the state’s marriage laws which affirmed that marriage was the union of a man and a woman. A recent survey conducted by Christian Mingle, a popular Christian dating organization, revealed that a majority of Christians who attend church and believe in God in fact go through premarital sex. Only around 10 percent of the participants stated that they are waiting until marriage, while the rest said that they either have intercourse before marriage or even if they are not in a relationship. The 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games kicked off this Friday and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) began distributing condoms for all the participating athletes to use for the 2-week duration of the event.
