The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs announced that there are around 9.3 war refugees in Syria, most of them children who are in need of humanitarian aid. A survey by Harris Poll taken on behalf of World Vision showed that around 76 percent of Americans believed that the U.S. should provide some form of assistance for these refugees. READ MORE

Many Christians have recently tried to stir an international effort to pray for the missing MH370 Malaysian airline through the “PtayForMH370”, a hashtag on Twitter. Users are trying to encourage people to offer their opinions and prayers through the hashtag for the more than 200 missing passengers and crew. CBN reported that Oleksandr Turchynov, the acting president of Ukraine is calling nation’s armed forces for the defense of Ukraine from outside threats. Turchynov even moved on to request parliament that they turn the nation’s interior ministry into a national guard, and also called in reserved troops and volunteers into the Ukrainian military. The Associated Press reported that Kim Jong Un, the dictator of North Korea was reported to have been elected to the highest position of power with 100 percent approval. He was the only candidate who was not voted against, according to the nation’s media.
