On the evening of the 20th of March, “Open Bank” donated 374,200 dollars in support for 73 nonprofit organizations through its “Open Stewardship Foundation”. The foundation was hosting what it called the “Stewardship Program”, which received 84 applicants and selected 73 organizations to receive their financial support through a process of evaluations.
This is the third time “Open Bank” hosted its “Stewardship Program”. “Open Stewardship Foundation” insiders explained they selected the 73 nominees based on their contribution to society’s needy, and their sincerity and diligence. 9 nonprofit organizations were selected for the “Hope Program” (3,000 dollars), 21 groups for the “Faith Program” (7,000 dollars), 33 groups for the “Love Program” (10,000 dollars), and 10 organizations for the most recent “Grace Program” (3,000 dollars).
The “Open Stewardship Foundation” has been distributing 10 percent of “Open Bank”’s revenue to society since 2011. Min Kim, the head of “Open Bank” announced that they hoped to donate I million dollars for next year’s program. He also expressed his thanks to the representatives from the 73 organizations that received the donations.
