Time definitely flies so fast! Who would have thought that it has been two years since the world eagerly awaited the arrival of the first child of Kate Middleton and Prince William? According to E Online, Prince George will be celebrating his second birthday on July 22 (Wednesday). While no specific details have been revealed at the moment, a "private" celebration is reportedly planned to celebrate the toddler's birthday.

"The family will be spending the day privately," disclosed an unnamed source to E Online. However, a report from PEOPLE Magazine revealed that the family will be celebrating the special day in the Norfolk residence of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Should the festivities be held at Amner Hall, then the cute and adorable Prince George will definitely not run out of places to explore as his mom and dad keeps a spacious 10-bedroom home in the 20,000-acre Sandringham Estate of his great grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.

Meanwhile, the news of Prince George's second birthday also brought with it yet another adorable snapshot of the toddler with his father, according to Forbes Magazine. The photo, which was taken on July 5 by renowned artist Mario Testino during the christening of the soon-to-be king's little sister, Princess Charlotte, features Prince George leaning forward to the camera and showing off a toothy grin. It was captioned, "Look who's turning two tomorrow! #HappyBirthdayPrinceGeorge"

According to a spokesperson from Kensington Palace, the said photo was selected by Prince William and Kate Middleton themselves. When asked on the reason behind the choice, the representative shared that the royal couple believe the picture "captures a very happy moment on what was a special day for the Duke and Duchess and their family." The chosen photo was featured in both the official Instagram and Twitter accounts of the family, which have handler names of kensingtonroyal and Kensington Palace. Last year, the theme for Prince George's birthday bash was Peter Rabbit.

With no further details regarding this year's celebration, News.com.au speculates that a party involving helicopters might be planned as a nod to Prince William's air ambulance pilot stint. The report further points out that the decision to make this year's birthday celebration low key is in contrast with Prince George's party last which saw Queen Elizabeth II arriving in a Bentley and spending roughly 50 minutes of one-on-one interaction with the then 1-year-old boy.
