Members of Mission Agape and Hosea Feed the Hungry served the homeless and low-income community of Atlanta by serving food for them on Thanksgiving this year.

On Thanksgiving this year, while most were enjoying a feast with their families and loved ones, there were also those who do not have families or had been separated from their families, and had to endure cold and hunger on their own. Two ministries collaborated this year to serve such neighbors on the streets.

From 9 AM to 3 PM on the November 27, Mission Agape and Hosea Feed the Hungry served food at the Georgia World Congress Center for some 20,000 homeless and low-income individuals in Atlanta.

Starting Wednesday night, members from the two organizations started cooking 2,200 pounds of chicken, 4,000 egg rolls, and 600 pounds of rice, and heated the food early on Thursday morning. As they served the food, they also warmed the hearts of their homeless and low-income neighbors.

The event also featured some performances, including the Grape Vine Choir, a traditional Korean music and dance, and the Andrew Choi band.

The Mission Agape team, which included 42 Koreans and 3 non-Koreans, were thanked by many of the homeless who were at the event for their continuous service to the community.

Mission Agape and Hosea Feed the Hungry will also be holding Christian festivities together. For more information, visit www.atlagape.com.
