I have learned the secrets of biblical prosperity in repetition through the meditations of the Word. God commanded Joshua to meditate on the Word day and night. “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” (Joshua 1:8) Meditating on the Word of God day and night means meditating over and over again. God says that we will be prosperous if we repeatedly meditate on the Word and put it into practice. I meditated on Joshua 1:8 many times. As I repeatedly meditated on this passage, I have come to understand the secret of prosperity. God wants us to prosper. So he put the secret of prosperity in meditation of the Word. The secret of prosperity is the wisdom that leads to excellence through repetition. I would like to share the wisdom of repetition that I have learned through meditation of the Word until now.
It is wisdom to choose and repeat good things. If you choose and repeat bad things, you will form bad habits and experience bad results. On the other hand, if you choose and repeat good ones, you will form good habits and produce good fruit. Repeating good things begins with having an interest in good things. When you are interested in good things and repeat them, you will experience the development of amazing things. To repeat good things, you must continuously realize the importance of repetition.
Repetition leads to excellence. Going towards excellence means one is mastering something. It means to be an expert in one field. It is said that it takes ten thousand hours to master one field. Also, when you focus on one field for 10 years and repeat, you can master that field. We need wisdom when we repeat something. Repeating unconditionally doesn’t always leads to excellence, but we need creative repetition to lead to excellence. If you repeat with bad motivation and bad attitude, only bad things happen repeatedly. Creative repetition means to repeat while fixing the wrong things. It is to repeat while fixing the mistakes and failures you experienced. Creative repetition is to try one thing in various ways. Repeat at various angles until you get the best results. It will then lead to excellence.
Repetition leads to deep understanding. If you repeat, you will be in a state of ‘flow’. The state of ‘flow’ means forgetting yourself and falling into the field of your own research. Then you will gain a deep understanding. The level of ‘flow’ is experienced through concentration. When you enter a state of ‘flow’, you will experience serenity. You will experience pleasantness. You will experience the holy joy of deep understanding. Jesus tells us that when we hear and understand the Word, we will bear abundant fruit (Matthew 13:23). Understanding is opening. Spiritual eyes are opened when we understand. Understanding is connecting. When we understand, we connect with ourselves. When you connect, you will experience miracles. Inspiration comes when we understand. When you understand, you will come up with amazing ideas. When you understand, you will find a solution to the problems you worry about.
Through repetition, we enter a new dimension. Repetition will produce breakthrough. If a little drop of water continues to fall, even a rock will be penetrated. If you repeat, you will accumulate. If you accumulate, it will increase. If it increases, it will change. The point at which changes occur, as the number increases, is the critical point. When the water reaches 99 degrees to 100 degrees, it becomes water vapor. At the moment of reaching the critical point, we enter the new dimension. When you accumulate, you will break through. The water flows and waits when it meets the obstacle. As the water is accumulated while waiting, then the obstacles are pushed forward as the water moves forward.
If you repeat, you will gain muscles. The body gains muscles when you exercise repeatedly. We know well how important the muscles are for health. Muscles play a very important role in supporting the body and supplying energy. They also help to control the body temperature. Repetition of thought leads to muscles of thought. If you have muscles of thought, you can think deeply and for a long time. When muscles are created, they gain strength to continue. Our problem is that, even though we start, we cannot sustain what we started. It is a problem that we cannot keep going until reaching a certain level. This means that people are weak at endurance. We need endurance in order to complete thoroughly what we start. It is repetition, which gains endurance. Try to repeat small things first. Meditate a short verse of the Word throughout a day or a week. Try to choose a good book and read over and over. May you go towards a level of excellence though the wisdom of repetition contained in the meditation of the Word. Shalom.
