"Harry Potter" alum Matthew Lewis continued to make headlines for the movie franchise even after the last film wrapped up several years ago.
After all, who would've thought that the actor who played the forgetful and accident-prone Neville Longbottom from Gryffindor would turn out to be a hunk?
It is no surprise that Lewis still gets asked a lot about his involvement in the "Harry Potter" franchise, but admittedly, the actor would like to shake it off.
"Having played the same character for 10 years I jump at every opportunity I have to mix it up," he shared with the Standard UK. "Don't get me wrong, I sound like a twat. It was such an opportunity and there's me going 'I want to go to the pub with my mates'. That feeling disappeared. I realized I was doing an incredible job."
At the same time, Lewis likes to keep in touch with his "Harry Potter" co-stars, such as Robbie Coltrane (Rebeus Hagrid) and Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy).
"I would never in a million years regret doing 'Harry Potter.' I owe so many things in my life to it," he said.
Despite their ongoing friendship, the actors appear to be out of the loop as far as news about "Harry Potter" is concerned.
Lewis was actually surprised to find out that J.K. Rowling is now working on a two-part "Harry Potter" musical called "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child," which would focus on the life of Harry and Ginny's son Albus Severus.
"Wowzer," Lewis commented.
When asked again about his good looks, Lewis immediately became shy. Despite his recent sexy magazine cover that has thrown "Harry Potter" fans into a frenzy, the actor believes that there are better looking celebrities than him.
"I was like 'Why the hell do you want me?' Naturally you think of cover models to be David Beckham or someone insanely handsome, not me," he shared. "But I've worked with the photographer, Joseph Sinclair, before and he is incredibly talented. He suggested some more risqué shots because I was in the best shape of my life and I trust him. Of course I was self-conscious. Even if one day I end up looking like (expletive) Chris Hemsworth I'm never going to not be self-conscious."
The actor added that there is a lot of pressure placed on celebrities to look good, and said that it is "disgusting" how people are now judged based solely on their physical appearances.
