The Golden State Warriors have been the hottest team to trail the NBA this season. Taking on the lead in Stephen Curry, followed closely by fellow Splash Brother Klay Thompson. The performances of Draymond Green and Andrew Bogut were also quite impressive. However, the consistency of Curry's shots and gameplays undoubtedly brings the power to the Golden State Warriors. Now that he is saddled with injuries and missing games, will the NBA champs continue to reign supreme?

The latest incident that scared the fans of the Golden State Warriors was in their games against the Los Angeles Lakers. Curry's shin, which has already caused him a number of games this season, came in contact with Roy Hibbert's leg when the former was trying to make a shot. The impact caused the NBA MVP to limp afterwards. The Kobe Bryant squad lost to the Golden State Warriors 109-88.

"It's just frustrating and annoying and any other adjective you want to throw in there," said Curry of his shin injury, according to ESPN. He added, "Long-term, it's not something that I'll have to worry about. It's just playing through an injury that's there. It doesn't get worse if I play on it, unless I get kicked, and that's happened three times since I did it, so hopefully it won't keep happening again."

Curry later on clarified that his shin has a bit of swelling and a contusion. The Golden State Warriors star also noted that the injury is not serious. Hence, the Golden State Warriors can still see Curry dominating in the hardwood court this NBA season.

"If it was 100 percent and I got kicked there, probably wouldn't have the same effect. But it's not. There's still a little bit of swelling and a contusion that's more prone to not take a blow very well," Curry explained of his injury.

The shin injury first plagued the Golden State Warriors star during their December 28 game against the Sacramento Kings. Following the face off against the DeMarcus Cousins' squad, Curry missed the games against Chandler Parsons' Dallas Mavericks and Dwight Howard's Houston Rockets. When he returned for the battle against Emmanuel Mudiay's Denver Nuggets, however, Curry's injury worsened. Nonetheless, the NBA MVP still opted to be part of the starting lineup in their face off against Jeremy Lin's Charlotte Hornets.

For his part, Curry provided a timeline for his full recovery. He said, "A while, like four weeks. I'm not going to sit out four weeks, so just got to figure out how to protect it while I'm out on the floor and keep playing. We've done a good amount and just had a couple unlucky plays, and we'll keep addressing it."

With this in mind, Curry might be playing with less confidence and vigor in the hardwood court. Does this mean the Cleveland Cavaliers can finally dominate the Golden State Warriors in their next face off? With a limping Curry in the lineup, will LeBron James' healthy roster including a newly recovered Kyrie Irving, Iman Shumpert and Kevin Love bag the NBA championship this season? Moreover, will Houston Rockets' James Harden now snag the MVP trophy he badly wants?
