After production for the ‘World of Warcraft’ film, ‘Warcraft,’ wrapped up in May 2014, it had been a major concern for fans whether the movie would ever actually be unveiled, particularly after news outlets deemed the project as a “problem movie.”

The original release date for ‘Warcraft’ was announced to be Dec. 18 this year but, as pointed out by Gamespot, was rescheduled for May 2016 to avoid rivaling ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens.’. The release date was then further pushed back by several weeks to June 10, which will make for the same premiere as the initial date for the release of ‘Jurassic World’ in 2015.

As teaser for the debut of the highly anticipated film’s trailer, the first footage of ‘Warcraft’ has been unveiled, offering fans with a glimpse of the live-action world of Azeroth that is to come in 2016.

The trailer was initially made public through the film’s official Twitter page.

In the 15-second video, HitFix claimed that the footage is filled with content that the typical player of the hit Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG), “World of Warcraft,” will certainly recognize. These include the spiky mountains of the Arathi Highlands, the magnificent human capital city of Stormwind and the rural community of Westfall.

There is also content for the non-players as the footage opens with an armor-clad human jumping onto the back of a gryphon before plunging into battle against an entire pack of CGI orc warriors.

Although the video game has evolved in various ways over the years, it started as a story about human beings living in a fantasy world who often come across orcs. Eventually, they are left with no choice but to battle it out with these green-skinned rivals.

The ‘Warcraft’ movie is expected to bring this original story to life in the hopes of attracting an audience comprised of gamers and newcomers alike. As pointed out by IGN, the teaser trailer has been released only three days before the expected premiere of the official, full-length “Warcraft” trailer at Blizzcon 2015 on Friday, Nov. 6.

The first teaser trailer also comes after the release of the movie’s official poster, treating fans to their first look at characters Anduin Lothar (Travis Fimmel), Durotan (Toby Kebbel) and Orgrim Doomhammer (Robert Kazinskiy).
