Jessa Duggar-Seewald and her husband, Ben, are counting down the number of days as the Christian couple is looking forward to the birth of their baby any day now. The 22-year-old reality star is due to welcome her first child on Nov. 1.
Although the pair has already found out the gender of their baby, they have yet to disclose details to their fans. Jessa’s due date is also the couple’s one-year wedding anniversary.
Meanwhile, rumors that the former ’19 Kids and Counting’ star going into labor were recently addressed as Jessa took to Instagram and shared a photo of her and Ben as she held her large baby bump.
Last weekend, Jessa also shared snapshots from a maternity photo shoot posted to her website.
"A sweet friend came to town and took these pictures for us," the Seewald couple wrote. "It was so much fun and soon we get to meet this sweet new Seewald!"
Jessa and Ben also celebrated a baby shower with her family and closest friends, and the event, a fall-themed party in Highfill, Arkansas, marked the forthcoming arrival of their little bundle of joy.
According to a source close to the Duggar family, the expectant reality star was looking forward to a baby shower in “family style,” hence a co-ed event.
“Ever since Jill had her baby shower for Israel, Ben has been talking about this idea of a ‘guy-friendly shower,’” the insider told Us Weekly about the celebration. “So he was definitely excited about this!”
In place of traditional baby shower gifts, the couple requested their guests to offer written prayers of blessing, which they will arrange in a keepsake.
“Definitely with all the difficulties that my family has walked through, there’s still a lot of exciting milestones ahead. Ben and I are very excited to welcome our first little one into the world very soon,” Jessa shared.
Meanwhile, fans of the Christian couple and of the Duggar family have expressed their excitement over the premiere of the upcoming TV special on TLC that will follow the recent experiences of Jessa and her sister, Jill Duggar-Dillard.
Nancy Daniels, TLC's executive vice president and general manager, already clarified that the new series will shed more light on Jessa’s preparations for the arrival of her little one as well as Jill's missionary trip to Central America with her husband Derick and son, Israel.
"We are grateful that the new TLC specials set to air this fall will be sharing special moments with Jill, Derick and Israel on the foreign mission field and following Ben and Jessa as they prepare for the arrival of their first baby!" the Duggar family wrote on their official Facebook page.
‘Jill & Jessa: Counting On’ will make its premiere on TLC this December.
