Jessa Duggar-Seewald is more than ready for her first baby with husband Ben as she shared snapshots from a maternity photo shoot posted to her website.
"A sweet friend came to town and took these pictures for us," the Seewald couple wrote. "It was so much fun and soon we get to meet this sweet new Seewald!"
In the images, the 22-year-old reality star can be seen holding her large baby bump with Ben. The couple’s due date is Nov.1, a very significant date as it is their one-year wedding anniversary.
The mother-to-be is expecting her child in less than 10 days and even celebrated a baby shower with her family and closest friends last weekend. The event, a fall-themed party in Highfill, Arkansas, marked the approaching arrival of their little bundle of joy.
According to a source close to the Duggar family, Jessa opted for a baby shower in “family style,” thus the presence of her husband and the other males in the family at the celebration.
“Ever since Jill had her baby shower for Israel, Ben has been talking about this idea of a ‘guy-friendly shower,’” the insider told Us Weekly about the celebration, which had been carried out in a barn of a Duggar family friend. “So he was definitely excited about this!”
In place of typical baby shower gifts, Jessa and Ben asked their guests to offer written prayers of blessing, which they plan to collect and arrange in a keepsake.
The Christian couple first announced the pregnancy in April, but is yet to announce the baby’s gender.
“Definitely with all the difficulties that my family has walked through, there’s still a lot of exciting milestones ahead. Ben [Seewald] and I are very excited to welcome our first little one into the world very soon,” Jessa shared.
Meanwhile, fans of the pair as well as of the Duggar family are looking forward to the premiere of the upcoming TV special on TLC that will shed more light on the recent experiences of Jessa and her sister, Jill Duggar-Dillard.
Nancy Daniels, TLC's executive vice president and general manager, previously explained how the new series would highlight Jessa’s preparations for the birth of her first baby in addition to Jill's mission work in El Salvador with her husband Derick and son, Israel.
"We are grateful that the new TLC specials set to air this fall will be sharing special moments with Jill, Derick and Israel on the foreign mission field and following Ben and Jessa as they prepare for the arrival of their first baby!" the Duggar family wrote on their official Facebook page.
‘Jill & Jessa: Counting On’ will make its premiere on TLC this December.
