Ubisoft is all set to release "Assassin's Creed Syndicate" later this week but the development studio still has another surprise for gamers.
Following the game's launch, players will receive a free DLC featuring new costumes for the main characters.
As announced through the studio's Ubiblog, the new outfits were specifically designed for the brother-sister protagonists Jacob and Evie Frye. According to Ubisoft, Jacob's outfit, dubbed as "The Creature's Rags," was inspired by Dr. Frankenstein's monster. It basically looks like a bunch of tattered rags that were crudely stitched together to form a coat.
Evie's outfit, on the other hand, is called "Dr. Daniel's Garments" and gives off a bit of a steampunk vibe. It features more colors and details than Jacob's Frankenstein-esque coat and even has protruding electrodes complete with sparks on the left shoulder.
Marc-Alexis Cote, the creative director of "Assassin's Creed Syndicate" noted that the developers enjoyed designing the outfits for the upcoming game's major characters.
"Our character design team had a lot of fun creating these more fantastical outfits, and we're happy to share them with everyone completely free," he said in a press release. "We want to thank all of our fans for your passion and support and we can't wait for you to get your hands on the game on October 23."
The costume for Evie will be available starting on November 3 while Jacob's "The Creature's Rags" will come out on November 17.
Aside from these new outfits, those who will purchase the game's Season Pass will also get various additional contents. These include the "Jack the Ripper" DLC, which features a new storyline that takes place 20 years after the plot of the main game's campaign, according to Eurogamer.
In this DLC, gamers will team up with the historical figure Frederick George Abberline of the Scotland Yard to hunt down London's infamous serial killer.
The Season Pass also includes the "Last Maharaja" mission pack, which features ten new missions set in London as well as a storyline with Duleep Singh as he takes on the Templars and reclaim his title as the Maharaja, PlayStation Lifestyle reported.
Other features of the Season Pass include the "A Long Night" exclusive mission, the "Streets of London" gameplay pack, exclusive XP boost, and steampunk-inspired weapons and other gear.
"Assassin's Creed Syndicate" will arrive for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles on October 23 while the game's PC version will come out on November 19.
