The ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ family continues to expand as actor Jesse Williams, who takes on the role of Dr. Jackson Avery, and his wife, Aryn Drake-Lee, reportedly welcomed their second child together almost two months ago. The couple, however, has avoided making comments about their child’s birth.

Such reports were confirmed by US Weekly, adding that an insider claimed that the Williams duo named their son Maceo. The name supposedly translates to “Gift of God” and is drawn out from Spanish origins.

"They are really excited and this was something they really wanted," an insider told E! News. "They are a very private couple and they like to keep this kind of news to just close family and friends."

Drake-Lee gave birth to their first child, Sadie, in December 2013 – almost a year after the couple exchanged wedding vows on Sept. 1, 2012.

“She’s been with me through all difference facets of my career,” Williams, whose career was bolstered when he starred in the 2008 film, ‘The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2,’ shared. “She’s stuck with me through thick and thick and thick and thin. We know each other in and out.”

Meanwhile, it remains a question whether the romance between Williams’ character Jackson and his wife, Dr. April Kepner (Sarah Drew), will continue to spark.

The plastic surgeon and the trauma surgeon has reached a highly difficult stage in their relationship, resulting to Jackson mentioning the possibility of divorce and staying for some time with Dr. Bailey (Chandra Wilson) and Dr. Warren (Jason George) as April refuses to walk out of their shared residence.

However, Williams assured ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ fans that such circumstances are not enough reason to give up.

"There's definitely hope," the 34-year-old actor said. "It gets really grim. It's still very grim. We're well ahead, and I don't know where it's going."

Having lost their son Samuel Norbert last season, April made the decision to serve in the army, which left Jackson twice to deal with his grief alone despite him explaining to his wife that, if she left again, it could be possible that he will not be there for her anymore when she returned.

With Kepner’s return, Drew’s character prefers that the couple stand up for their marriage. However, Jackson told her near the beginning of season 12 that he is not certain whether “we are worth fighting for."

"[There's] going to be a lot of down on this roller coaster before it comes up, but there are flickers of hope," Williams added, referring to the couple’s storyline. “You know what fans can realize is that this frustration and this anger for both of them comes from love."

‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 12 airs every Thursday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
