Rockstar Games will release a new update for the online multiplayer mode of "Grand Theft Auto V" on October 20.

However, as previously explained by the studio, the upcoming Lowrider update will not arrive for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game, according to Gamespot.

PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One gamers, on the other hand, can expect to get their hands on the latest update next week. As detailed in Rockstar Games' website, the new Lowrider update for "GTA Online" will feature a new customs shop called Benny's Original Motor Works in downtown Strawberry.

At Benny's, gamers will have access to various customization options to trick out their lowriders. These include new air filters, engine covers, steering wheels and custom shift levers. Players will also have the option to change their car's interior look with velour, leather, or with other colors and designs of their own.

The new shop also carries hydraulic pumps which players can install to make their cars bounce. They can also improve their ride's sound system with new subwoofers and speakers.

After customizing their cars, gamers will be able to show them off to their friends through the Player Interaction Menu. This new social feature will allow gamers to open up the car's doors, hood and trunk to completely show off its exterior and interior designs.

Aside from customization options, the update also comes with new missions from Lamar and three Adversary Modes. The Ammu-Nation will also carry new weapons such as a machete and an automatic machine pistol.

The Lowrider update for "GTA Online" is scheduled to arrive on Tuesday for the game's PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 options. As explained by Rockstar Games in September, the studio has decided to only focus on next-gen platforms regarding the release of new updates for the game.

According to Imran Sarwar, the studio's director of design, it will be hard to release new content updated for last-gen versions of the game due to the consoles' memory limits.

"The primary technical reason is the memory capacity for the older systems," he told IGN. "We are constantly adding new items to the game with each update and we began approaching the memory limits after the first year of 'GTA Online' content."

"We found ourselves almost at capacity after the launch of Heists but with some creative programming we managed to squeeze additional updates into those older systems which allowed us to make it as far as the two Ill Gotten Gains updates, but we can't make any more meaningful updates without putting the stability of the entire online game at risk," he added.
