"God, who grants this new day and oversees history and all things! Great and Almighty, I give praise, for you rule with an everlasting love and justice! I thank you that you have led us to live in awe of you.
Through an allegory in today’s passage (Ezekiel 17:1-10), I realized just what a severe loss and destruction we could face when we live a life apart from you. As such, I desire to draw near to you, with my all, with humility. I confess that I have asked for good things that are of the world in a very human perspective. Would you help me to live according to your will and words.
Even in situations that I do not like and in situations are difficult to understand, help me to hold on to your will and words and to live in awe of you, God. Though the world may falter and change, I pray that I may rely and hold on to you, and only you, Lord. I pray that I may give you glory as that one person who chooses to do your will. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen."
