Even before he landed the role of Groot in the surprise hit movie "Guardians of the Galaxy" directed by James Gunn, "Furious 7" star Vin Diesel has teased about portraying someone from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, it looks like his teasers are shaping up to be a reality.

"I can totally be something (else) with Marvel," the actor revealed during an interview with io9. "I think playing that role only makes Marvel that much more excited and me having my experience with Marvel, seeing how great they were, makes me more excited."

Diesel did not say much about this mysterious role, but he teased that his new character will be a man of few (or no) words.

"We've heard a lot of talk about Marvel wanting to have me play a character that doesn't have my voice. So my voice is used for Groot and my presence is used for the other character," he shared.

For those who are unfamiliar with Marvel comic books, Diesel's character would be difficult to determine. But for those in the know, it's already pretty obvious who this character without a voice is.

"So he's pretty much all but confirmed he's playing Black Bolt, the king of Inhumans. While he can technically talk, it's just even him whispering will produce powerful sonic shockwaves," someone commented.

"Vin Diesel would actually make a fantastic Black Bolt, and the Inhumans movie is coming up," someone else added.

Many other fans, meanwhile, thought that this was actually old news. "I feel like that this rumor has been around since he was announced as Groot," a fan noted. "I'm all for it. He has a good Black Bolt look and seems to be a capable enough actor to pull this off."

In other news, Diesel is also working on several other films, such as the eighth installment to "The Fast and Furious" franchise as well as the third installment of "XXX."

According to the actor, they already have a director for his other movie "XXX 3" - D.J. Caruso, who is the brains behind "Disturbia," "I Am Number Four," and "Eagle Eye."

"I'm excited (expletive) about 'XXX,'" Diesel gushed. "D.J. Caruso is directing it, which is exciting. The big question now is which will race to production first now that F. Gary Gray is on ('Furious 8')? Will 'XXX' race to production first or will 'Fast' race to production first?"
