There is nothing "James Bond: Spectre" star Daniel Craig would like to do better than take a break from the franchise. Just the thought of doing another 007 film fills Craig with so much dread that he'd "rather break glass and slash my wrists."

This was what the actor revealed during his interview with Collider, saying that he does not have any inclination to reprise his role as James Bond for the meantime.

"No, not at the moment. Not at all. That's fine. I'm over it at the moment. We're done. All I want to do is move on," he said.

When prodded for more details, if he might change his tune in the future, the British actor mulled some more and answered: "I haven't given it any thought. For at least a year or two, I just don't want to think about it. I don't know what the next step is. I've no idea. Not because I'm trying to be cagey. Who knows? At the moment, we've done it. I'm not in discussion with anybody about anything."

Craig then said that the only reason that he would be compelled to be James Bond again is if he was offered the right salary.

"If I did another Bond movie, it would only be for the money," he admitted.

Should that happen though, Craig would have to really dig deep for creative juices because he has already expelled so much for "Spectre."

"Every idea I've had for a Bond movie, I've stuck into this one. It's gone in. The Bond bank is dry. If you're asking me what would I do with another Bond movie? I haven't a clue. Go into space? Let's do it! They already did it. Let's do it again," he said.

Craig revealed that he was actually all set up to do another Bond film, but the studio wanted it completed as soon as possible. They even suggested that they film "back to back," and Craig thought they have gone insane.

This pushed the actor to take a step back and decide if being Bond for one more movie would be worth his time and effort. Other actors are very keen to take that weight off of Craig, however, and some of the names that have been floating around include Damian Lewis, Idris Elba, and Tom Hardy, among many others.

Craig candidly said that he could not care less who becomes the next Bond, but he does care how they will portray the character and continue his story.

"Good luck to them! All I care about is that if I stop doing these things we've left it in a good place and people pick it up and make it better. Make it better, that's all," he said.

The actor then offered some good advice: "You've got to step up. People do not make movies like this any more. This is really rare now. Go for it. Embrace it. Some clichéd line like that. But no, just make sure you're great. You've got to push yourself as far as you can. It's worth it, it's James Bond."
