With the release of the season 9 ‘Supernatural’ DVD, fans were given the chance to watch ‘A Fan’s Perspective,’ a mini-documentary that involved one fan following actor Misha Collins around for a day while filming for the hit fantasy horror TV series.
As tribute to the show’s return this Wednesday, Collins has taken to social media and tweeted about the release of the extended director’s cut of the video, which features Jared Padalecki lifting weights, Mark Sheppard left outside the trailer and much more.
Meanwhile, Padalecki and Jensen Ackles recently offered a warm welcome to some of the cast members from Warner Bros.’ latest TV programs that will be shooting scenes in Vancouver, where ‘Supernatural’ has been filming for the past decade.
The Winchester brothers came up with an impressively hilarious banner as their own way of welcoming the cast members from Fox’s ‘Lucifer,’ ‘DC's Legends of Tomorrow’ as well as ‘Arrow’ and ‘The Flash,’ both from The CW.
Featuring the two actors in suits, the banner read: "Welcome Freshman Class of ‘Lucifer’ and ‘Legends of Tomorrow.’ From your friends at Supernatural."
Taking to Twitter, Ackles also shared an image of the welcoming party, writing a message that said: "Welcoming some new faces to the studio lot up here in Vancouver...so many actors :-/"
Meanwhile, these co-stars are expecting fans to gear up for an action-packed installment as their characters are set to confront their greatest villain yet when 'Supernatural' returns on air for season 11 this October on The CW.
Its first episode, titled ‘Out of the Darkness, Into the Fire,’ will continue from where the previous season ended, specifically when Sam and Dean were engulfed by the Darkness.
Executive producer Jeremy Carver assured fans that they will immediately find out what happens to the Winchester brothers after being surrounded by the evil force.
As stated by the official synopsis of ‘Supernatural’ season 11, episode one: “Picking up where the finale left off, Sam and Dean must deal with the Darkness that has been unleashed. Castiel (Misha Collins) deals with the effects of Rowena's (Ruth Connell) spell and recalls his brutal battle with Crowley (Mark A. Sheppard).”
The first two episodes should be recognized as a “big mystery story,’ placing more emphasis on the nature of the Darkness.
‘Supernatural’ season 11 is set to premiere on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 9 p.m. on the CW.
