The iPhone 6S is barely a month old but several Apple users are already complaining about the smartphone model's several issues.
One of these is the handset's Touch ID or home button becoming really hot.
As detailed by several users on the Apple Support Communities site, they were able to use the new flagship iPhone without any problems before noticing the issue with its home button. Based on their complaints, this problem is coupled with a blank screen.
"I have had my phone since Friday, and this morning when I woke up the home button was burning hot and the screen is just black," one user posted. "I went to bed with it working just fine late night plugged it in to charge, and now it won't work. Nothing else is hot, not even the charging port, just the home button is on fire."
"Just had the same problem on [iPhone] 6S 64GB," another user reported. "Phone was working fine all day. Went to use the phone and it wouldn't power up, just a dark screen, and a very hot home button."
Some of the users who experienced the problem coordinated directly with Apple Support to report the issue. Although the company did not mention what's actually wrong with the devices, Apple offered a simple solution to the problem. According to the company, holding down the power and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds will reboot the device and solve the issue.
However, this isn't the only problem discovered by users while enjoying their new iPhone 6S handsets. As reported by 9to5Mac, the device sometimes powers off on its own even though it has a full battery.
Another problem with the new high-end smartphone from the Cupertino-based tech giant is the audio quality of its speakers. According to users, the sounds that come from these components are often distorted and too loud. In other instances, the ringtones can be heard through wrong speakers and at a different volume setting.
9to5Mac noted that this problem might have something to do with a bug in the software instead of the device's hardware.
The iPhone 6S' Force Touch feature is also displaying certain issues such as not responding to certain levels of finger presses.
As noted by Mashable, Apple will most likely fix software-related problems through an update. As for hardware issues, users might have to bring in their iPhone 6S devices to a local Apple store for repairs.
