The whole cast of "Game of Thrones" has gotten everybody confused about the true fate of Kit Harrington's Jon Snow. Emilia Clarke (who plays Deanerys Targaryen in the series) would like to think that Snow has a 50/50 chance of being back in season six, but Maisie Williams (who plays the feisty Arya Stark) is not offering any statement of hope.

Talking to Christian O'Connell on his Absolute Radio breakfast show, the young actress said: "All the time people are asking me if Jon Snow is alive and the answer is no! He's dead! I promise."

According to the Daily Mail UK, Williams said that Snow's death might be heartbreaking, but it serves a really good purpose to propel the show further.

"I think you're in denial about it for a long time when you see the death of a big character but I can't help but think it makes for such a great storyline!" she said. "It keeps you coming back for more."

The actress then revealed her favorite character on the show, who unfortunately met her untimely demise as well. "My favourite character was Ygritte. But then she died!" she said.

"Game of Thrones" season 5 certainly killed off a lot of important characters such as Stannis Baratheon, his wife Selyse and his daughter Shireen, not to mention Ser Barristan Selmy and the vile Ser Meryn Trant, among many others. However, it was definitely Snow's shocking death that affected fans the most.

People obsessed about the final scene which showed Snow lying on the ground with his own blood pooling beside him, after he was stabbed to death by members of the Night's Watch. Some thought that he would be resurrected by Melissandre, while others thought he might become one of the White Walkers since the color of his eyes reportedly changed its hue.

When Harrington spoke with Belgian magazine Humo last month, he inevitably fuelled the flames of his character's rebirth when he said: "Let's just say that 'Game Of Thrones' will remain a part of my life for a while. I'll probably be in my thirties when it's over."

However, Williams insists that people are getting their hopes up for nothing, and that they are trying to read into things that aren't there. She even said that Harrington's interview was "fabricated."

"He's dead. Sorry. The interview that you've all read and think that Kit spoiled it is fabricated. It was totally false!" she said.
