"God, who has granted this morning of grace on this new day of life! We give you praise for you have led us in your truth, allowing us to live this new day of grace.
I thank you for helping me learn of your saving grace through today's passage in which you salvaged your people from the mire instead of letting them fall prey to evil. Through Ezekiel, you have allowed those in difficult situations be able to see the true nature of the women who prophesied out of their own imagination to ensnare people, as if it were their job and as if they were hunting (Ezekiel 13:17-23). For this realization and for your promise to save your people from hands of evil, I also thank you. With a fearful heart, I look back to see whether I have committed detestable acts, using your words for my own benefit at the cost of hurting the disciples' spirit.
My earnest desire is to be captivated by your word, the truth, and the Spirit, and to properly live out my faith. May I be so captivated by the Spirit, who leads me with truth, that I may be saved from evil and from compromising my faith. Today, in God's truth, experiencing the word of life, I pray in Jesus' name, who blesses me that I may enjoy true freedom. Amen."
