Actor Tom Hiddleston has revealed the traits and qualities that he is looking for a woman, in a recent interview shared on Irish television station TV3's website this week.

"I like strong women. My mothers and sisters are very strong women, immensely independent and very capable and that's what I feel comfortable with," the British actor said. ''My mother places a huge importance on decency and kindness and always has—and the older I get the more I realize how rare that is.''

He also shared similar sentiments in a previous interview with ELLE UK in 2014.

"I believe in the strength and intelligence and sensitivity of women," the ‘Avengers’ star stated. "My mother, my sisters [they] are strong. My mum is a strong woman and I love her for it."

The 34-year-old actor is the son and middle child of Diana Hiddleston, who previously worked as a stage manager and arts administrator, and James Hiddleston, a Scottish physicist. His older sister Sarah works as a journalist while younger sibling Emma is an actress.

Hiddleston, who is currently promoting his latest movie ‘Crimson Peak,’ has often kept mum about his personal affairs and has never confirmed a romantic relationship. In the past years, he has been romantically linked to record executive Jane Arthy. It was also rumored that he dated Kat Dennings, who starred with him in ‘Thor’ and ‘Thor: The Dark World.’

Earlier this year, he and Elizabeth Olsen, his onscreen partner in ‘I Saw the Light,’ had fueled dating speculations after being spotted in public together. The 26-year-old actress later eventually debunked the rumors and confirmed that they were only friends.

Meanwhile, his private life aside, Hiddleston was previously asked about how his character Loki’s story will unfold in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the actor did not drop hints that fans have been looking forward to.

The actor also did not share details when asked about the number of Marvel films he has left.

"It's all in [Marvel President] Kevin Feige's brain. It feels like the Marvel Universe is expanding at such a rate, and I wish – I'm not being coy – I don't know where Loki fits into that. So we'll see. Your guess is as good as mine,” he said.

Nonetheless, Loki fans can look forward to the premiere of ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ to welcome the God of Mischief back in action.

‘Thor: Ragnarok’ will make its way to theaters on July 28, 2017.
