Countless women might fall head over feet for Hollywood A-list celebrity George Clooney, but not his wife Amal. In fact, Clooney recently admitted that whenever they are together, sometimes he feels like a "complete idiot."
The two have just celebrated their one year wedding anniversary on Sunday by having a low-key dinner in West Hollywood, according to Vanity Fair.
Naturally, people were incredibly curious how their date went, so the actor was interrogated thoroughly when he appeared at the Lincoln Center a few days after their big date for the 15th-anniversary screening of "O Brother, Where Art Tho?"
"It was great," he said of his date with his high-profile human rights lawyer wife. "We had dinner...that was fun."
"Amal picked the spot," he added. His wife chose to celebrate their anniversary at the Sunset Tower Hotel's Tower Bar. "I'm a creature of habit, so I might want to go down the street to the same sushi bar that I could eat at four nights a week... She's like, 'No, that's not going to happen -not for the anniversary! We're not going to do that!'"
Clooney certainly likes to poke fun at himself, so he quickly added: "I'm an idiot. Oftentimes, I feel like an idiot talking to my own wife. It's never good!"
Before his marriage with Amal, Clooney was married to American actress Talia Balsam back in 1989. They divorced in 1993, and after that, Clooney became one of Hollywood's most covetable bachelors.
He dated a string of women, such as actress Ginger Lynn Allen, French reality star Celine Balitran, British model Lisa Snowdon, and even Renee Zellweger and Krista Allen.
In 2007, he dated reality star Sarah Larson, but they broke up after a year. He then started a relationship with Italian actress Elisabetta Canalis in July 2009, but they split up in June 2011. After that, he jumped into a relationship with WWE Diva Stacy Keibler, but their union came to and end in July 2013. His romance with Amal Alamuddin began on April 28, 2014, and they enjoyed a whirlwind relationship before officially tying the knot on September 27, 2014.
His wife has quite the impressive resume. She is a Lebanese-British lawyer, activist, and lawyer, and specializes in international law, criminal law, human rights, and extradition. Some of her clients include WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, former prime minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko, and Canadian-Egyptian journalist Mohamed Fahmy, among many others.
