Microsoft has unveiled next month's complete lineup of games that will be released for free for the Games with Gold program for Xbox One and Xbox 360 gamers.
As part of the rules for the Games with Gold, only those with active Xbox Live Gold memberships will be able to access and play the free games.
For the entire month of October, gamers will be able to enjoy three free games for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles, according to an update on the Major Nelson site.
The first game that Xbox Live Gold members will be able to play for free is "Valiant Hearts: The Great War." Released by Ubisoft in June of last year, "Valiant Hearts" follows the story of four characters during the historic Great War.
The story revolves around the themes of love, friendship and survival as the four characters go on a journey amidst the ongoing war between Germany and Russia.
"Valiant Hearts" will be available for the Xbox One console from October 1 to 31. As noted by Gamerant, Sony already unveiled the game as a free title for its PlayStation Plus program in March.
The second game that will be included in Games with Gold's October 2015 lineup is "Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes." It will be available for Xbox 360 gamers from October 1 to 15.
Released in March last year by development studio Kojima Productions, the game serves as the first half of the fifth main "Metal Gear Solid" game. Set in 1975, Snake, also known as Big Boss, returns as the leader of the Militaires Sans Frontieres.
As Snake, gamers must infiltrate a former refugee camp in Cuba to extract a prisoner who knows the location of special individual who holds information regarding the paramilitary group running the camp.
The last game is "The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season" developed by Telltale Games. Officially released in October of last year, this game consists of five parts and is set in the same universe as the "Walking Dead" television series. Its story serves as a prequel to the narrative of the series led by protagonist Deputy Sheriff Rock Grimes.
In game, players will take on the role of Lee Everett, a convicted criminal who must now rely on his various skills to survive the zombie apocalypse.
"The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season" will be available for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles from October 16 to 31.
