Indie folk band Of Monsters and Men is set to an official appearance on ‘Game of Thrones’ season six.

The hit HBO fantasy drama has tapped the Icelandic band for a musical cameo in the upcoming sixth installment.

The band's special appearance had been revealed by a fan who took to Twitter and posted photos of the group’s set in Girona, Spain. The images were then shared on fan community site Watchers on the Wall, which stated that the five-member band was filming inside the Sant Pere de Galligants monastery.

Among the band members who were spotted and photographed outside the monastery were vocalist-guitarist Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir, singer-guitarist Ragnar "Raggi" Þórhallsson and drummer Arnar Rósenkranz Hilmarsson.

All three band members were seen decked out in full costume. The two other members of the band were guitarists Brynjar Leifsson and Kristján Páll Kristjánsson.

In a Q&A session with Interview magazine earlier this year, Nanna opened up about the band’s passion towards the fantasy genre. When asked if they love ‘Game of Thrones,’ she responded, "Yeah, oh my God, we love it. We're all obsessed with 'Game of Thrones.'"

The band's special appearance is the most recent musical cameo in a line of other musical guestings from the TV series’ more popular fans. Will Champion of Coldplay, Gary Lightbody of Snowpatrol, Mastodon and Icelandic group Sigur Rós have all made appearances on the critically acclaimed series in the previous seasons.

Meanwhile, more new faces are expected to show up in ‘Game of Thrones’ season six as James Faulkner, Samantha Spiro and Rebecca Benson recently signed on to the cast.

The trio of actors will reportedly play characters from Samwell Tarly’s (John Bradley) family, a "very reliable" source told Watchers on the Wall. The newcomers join Freddie Stroma, who will take on the role of Sam's brother Dickon Tarly.

‘The Babadook’ actress Essie Davis will also appear on ‘Game of Thrones’ season six as she will play the lead actress who works for a traveling theater company.

The said theater troupe will also be comprised of actors Kevin Eldon, Richard E. Grant, Eline Powell and Eva Butterly, to name a few.

In addition, the HBO series had previously cast Max von Sydow as the Three-Eyed Raven, Pilou Asbæk as Euron Greyjoy, Sebastian Croft as young Ned Stark and Ian McShane in a role that is yet to be announced.

‘Game of Thrones’ season six is expected to air in spring 2016 on HBO.
