‘Game of Thrones’ continues to add to its cast as James Faulkner, Samantha Spiro and Rebecca Benson are set to appear in the upcoming sixth season.

The trio of actors is expected to play characters from Samwell Tarly’s (John Bradley) family, a "very reliable" source told Watchers on the Wall. The insider also claimed that the actors can be expected to begin filming in Spain this week.

Faulkner will play Sam's father, Randyll Tarly. As stated by the first casting breakdowns for ‘Game of Thrones’ season 6, Sam’s father is a sullen martinet father. Martial discipline is highly important for him both in the field and in his home.

Randyll is known to be punitive and menacing, and is regarded as one of the most capable soldiers in Westeros.

Spiro is expected to take on the role of Sam's mother, Melessa Florent. She has been referred to as a sweet and affectionate mother, who benefits from her modesty and graciousness.

Finally, Benson will portray Sam's sister, who is said to be a kind, friendly and down-to-earth woman. Based on the source material, Sam has three sisters; among these siblings, only the eldest sister has been named- Talla Tarly.

The new cast members join newcomer Freddie Stroma, who signed on as Sam's brother Dickon Tarly.

Essie Davis will also appear on ‘Game of Thrones’ season six as she will reportedly play the lead actress who works for a traveling theater company.

Although there has been scarce information about her character, including her name, she is expected to be a “fun, charismatic, rum-drinking actress,” as stated by the ‘Game of Thrones’ season six character descriptions earlier this year.

Danish actor Pilou Asbaek has signed on as Euron Greyjoy and will be joined by ‘Doctor Who’ actor Richard E. Grant, who could portray the group leader of the traveling actors.

The ‘Downton Abbey’ actor might also portray the Citadel archmaster Maester Marwyn or Lord Paxter Redwayne. Both characters have already been introduced in the book series but are yet to be introduced in the TV adaptation.

‘Game of Thrones’ will also highlight the return of Bran Stark as the fantasy drama series finds its Three-Eyed Raven in veteran actor Max von Sydow.

The mysterious character’s last appearance had been in the concluding episode of season four, when Bran and his company crossed paths with the powerful one played in the finale by Struan Rodger.

HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’ season six is expected to air in April 2016.
