The season five summer finale of ‘Teen Wolf’ finally unveiled Parrish's (Ryan Kelley) supernatural identity along with Theo's (Cody Christian) actual reason behind his return to Beacon Hills.

Although the action-packed episode addressed several burning questions, it has also brought on a number of new mysteries that will keep viewers speculating until the hit MTV series returns next year.

Kira (Arden Cho) has already been out of action since she left Beacon Hills in season five, episode eight. However, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly after the summer finale was released, showrunner Jeff Davis explained that Kira and her mom, Noshiko (Tamlyn Tomita), fled to New Mexico to ascertain the issue with the thunder kitsune's inner fox.

"We have a really big episode which is all about Kira and Noshiko going off on their own story to try to figure out how to tame the fox spirit within her," Davis stated. "And it takes place actually in the desert in New Mexico where they have to journey."

In the summer finale, Malia (Shelley Hennig) also learned from Braeden (Meagan Tandy) that her biological mother, known as the mysterious Desert Wolf (Marisol Nichols), is returning to Beacon Hills with the sole purpose of killing her own daughter, which poses a big question to fans.

Before making her debut in the fifth season, the Desert Wolf was already mentioned at the end of the third installment and even throughout the fourth. As the Desert Wolf works as a skilled assassin, it is likely that someone has taken on her services to kill her own daughter.

Meanwhile, Theo was also shown violently prodding his claws into the back of Lydia’s (Holland Roden) neck as he attempted to extract visions of the Nemeton.

Davis already confirmed that such attack is what leads the banshee to Eichen House in season 5B. Although she is likely to be retained at the mental health facility for a certain period, the showrunner also revealed that she will meet up with an unexpected ally inside.

Although Dr. Valack (Steven Brand) escaped Eichen House earlier this season, Peter Hale (Ian Bohen) and Meredith Walker (Maya Eshet) could still be in there, thus the possibility that the expected ally could be one of them.

As for the "La Bete" (the beast translated in French), it is known to be one of the numerous creations of the villainous Dread Doctors. Compared to their teenage experiments, this furtive creature could be more powerful and dangerous.

It has been speculated that the creature will also be a chimera. If the "La Bete" turns out to be an actual chimera, then it was once a normal human, which could also mean that it may be a character that viewers have already seen.

‘Teen Wolf’ season 5B makes its premiere in January on MTV.
