In the latest episode of ‘Fear the Walking Dead,’ Travis (Cliff Curtis) has been criticized by fans after he showed his dislike towards guns as well as skepticism when it comes to zombies, thereby endangering his family members.

Before Episode 3 aired, Travis and Madison (Kim Dickens) were shown separating for them to ensure the safety of their respective families. The mysterious virus becomes more dangerous and violent, and the lead characters see their city and the rest of the world crumble before their eyes.

Despite running towards the desert to stay safe from the infected, Travis and the rest are aware that riots continue to spread within Los Angeles.

In Episode 3 titled ‘The Dog,’ Travis, his ex-wife Liza (Elizabeth Rodriguez), and his son Chris (Lorenzo James Henrie) remained in hiding with Daniel (Ruben Blades), his wife Griselda (Patricia Reyes Spindola) and daughter Ofelia (Mercedes Mason) inside their barber shop as riots overtake the downtown part of the city.

When Chris becomes aware of fire on one side of their walls, they all decide to escape and regroup at Travis' home where his new wife, Madison (Kim Dickens) and her children Nick (Frank Dillane) and Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) had been anticipating their arrival.

An infected man breaks into the house and Daniel had to use his gun to get rid of the undead. Subsequently, Travis explains how he remains apprehensive towards weapons and disapproves of Daniel’s decision to teach Chris how to use a shotgun.

Madison also wants to eradicate her infected neighbor, who has already harmed Alicia, but Travis makes an objection.

Madison has also found it difficult to tell her daughter the truth about the walking dead. The young girl then remains ill-informed of what is happening out in the streets.

"It's still more of a slow burn, because it has to be different from the original," Alycia Debnam-Carey, who plays Alicia, said in an interview with Elle. "But it gets there. My character still doesn't quite know what's going on. She's definitely been sheltered from everything. But you'll start to see more of the infected."

As for Madison’s drug-addicted son, Travis, he might aid his mother in breaking the zombie apocalypse news to his sister as they plan to run away from the hopeless city.
