The widely publicized run of Tim Tebow during the NFL offseason to make the roster of the Philadelphia Eagles has come to a complete and heartbreaking end. The weekend saw the aspiring NFL star get cut from the team after months of battling it out with Matt Barkley. While the notion of Tim Tebow failing to make the Philadelphia Eagles' final cut had always been at the back of the minds of his fans and followers, the move still came as a shock. One of the greatest factors that contributed to the disbelief of Tim Tebow fanatics is the fact that the Philadelphia Eagles traded Barkley to the Arizona Cardinals on Friday. With Tim Tebow's competition off the NFL team, it was highly speculated that the fan favorite landed the coveted spot - a notion immediately squashed when head coach Chip Kelly announced that the Philadelphia Eagles decided to sign former Jacksonville Jaguars star Stephen Morris instead.

"Tim's really progressed but we didn't feel like he was good enough to be the three right now," explained the Philadelphia Eagles head coach following the decision to let go of Tim Tebow, according to CBS Sports. Kelly added, "He just needs to get out there and get more reps." Tim Tebow initially vied to land the third quarterback position to serve as backup for Philadelphia Eagles stars Sam Bradford and Mark Sanchez.

Amid the backlash, Tim Tebow rose to the occasion and expressed his gratitude to the Philadelphia Eagles team via social media. He wrote on Twitter, "Thanks @Eagles and Coach Kelly for giving me the opportunity to play the game I love! Romans 8:28  #Blessed" Referencing the Bible, the Christian football star had a clear message to his fans and followers: "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

Meanwhile, it looks like the former Philadelphia Eagles hopeful is moving on from his failure. Tim Tebow is confirmed to be back behind the desk as a sports analyst in the SEC Network of ESPN. "Tim quickly developed into an excellent analyst last year, and we were not shy about acknowledging his home at ESPN should he be available to return," announced John Wildhack, ESPN Executive Vice President, in the official press release that revealed the return of Tim Tebow to the media outlet.

Fans could expect to watch Tim Tebow on September 12, 2015 as he dishes out on college football during the two-hour pre-game talk show.
