Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy might have just gone through a horrible break up, but the two are not wasting any time mending their broken hearts and finding love in other places.

Kermit started the rebound competition when he was spotted with a new "close friend" named Denise. On his Twitter account, Kermit explained: "Sheesh. I can't believe I already have to do this again... Here is the official statement on my relationship status: While I prefer to keep my personal life private, this is Hollywood, so who am I kidding? It is true that I am dating again. However, at this time no one woman - pig or otherwise - is my 'new girlfriend.' We are simply close friends."

Not to be outdone, Miss Piggy is determined to move on from their break-up with a bang as well, and she started it by hobnobbing with Australian actor and "The Hunger Games" star Liam Hemsworth. The besotted actor even shared a photo of himself gazing adoringly at Miss Piggy and wrote, "Spent Friday with the most beautiful girl in the world. Kermit, #SorryNotSorry."

Then, Miss Piggy will be driving a wedge deeper into her and Kermit's severed relationship in the ABC fall sitcom "The Muppets," since she will be introducing her new love interest, who is none other than singer Josh Groban.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Groban is no stranger to the world of "The Muppets" since he has collaborated with them twice in the past already. It started with his 2014 cameo in "Muppets Most Wanted," while the gang from "The Muppets" helped him create the music video for Groban's song "Pure Imagination," which he did with Lindsey Stirling earlier this year.

He will be joining Hemsworth, Reese Witherspoon, Elizabeth Banks, and Imagine Dragons as the long list of celebrity guest stars of the popular sitcom.

Groban already did several guest appearances playing himself in different shows such as "Glee," "Parks and Recreation," "CSI: New York," and "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia."

The singer loves appearing in shows as himself and has even said earlier, "We don't have, in the U.S., the phrase 'taking the piss' out of yourself. I think that it's important to be self-aware and be able to just let the air out."

Kermit and Miss Piggy did promise that they will still be working together despite their split. "The Muppets" will make its premiere on Tuesday, September 22 at 8 p.m.
