Taeyeon Kim and Tiffany Hwang of Girls’ Generation, a popular South Korean girl group are each debuting a solo album in Fall 2015. Taeyeon, the leader of Girls’ Generation and Tiffany have both released solo singles in the past, but it is the first time that they are recording an entire album on their own.
Girls’ Generation, also known as SNSD is an eight-member girl group which formed in 2007 with S.M. Entertainment. SNSD’s subgroup is called TaeTiSoo (TTS), a group of three members: Taeyeon (26), Tiffany (26), and Seohyun (24).
A source told KPopStarz that Taeyeon’s album will release in Oct. 2015 and Tiffany’s album will drop in Nov.
TTS dropped two albums in the past three years. Their first album, ‘Twinkle’ debuted in 2012 and their second album, ‘Holler’ debuted in 2014. TTS is returning in Dec. 2015 after SNSD finishes promoting its fifth studio album, ‘Lion Heart.’
Two of Taeyeon’s hit singles which were featured on Korean dramas were “If” (‘Hong Gil Dong’) and “Can You Hear Me” (‘Beethoven Virus’). Tiffany’s past singles are “By Myself” (‘Princess Ja Myung Go’), “Because It’s you” (‘Love Rain’), and “One Step Close” (‘All About My Romance’).
Seohyun is one of five SNSD members who are credited as songwriters. Seohyun wrote “I Got A Boy,” “Baby Maybe,” “XYZ,” and “Only U.” Her singles were featured on dramas, ‘Kim Soo Ro,’ ‘Fashion King,’ and ‘Paradise Ranch.’
The members of SNSD are Taeyeon, Sunny, Tiffany, Yoona, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Seohyun, and Sooyoung.
