The main attraction for this year's IFA event in Berlin is the upcoming smartphone models.

But aside from handsets, various tech firms also introduced to the public their new wearable devices such as the Huawei Watch and Moto 360.

The Chinese company's new smartwatch model sports a 1.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a round face. Its screen is made out of sapphire crystal and offers a resolution of 400x400, according to Mashable.

For its operating system, the Huawei Watch is equipped with Android Wear version 1.4 and is compatible with devices running on at least the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean or Apple's iOS 8.2.

It is powered by the Snapdragon 400 chipset and packs 512 of RAM and 4GB of built-in storage space. It also features a 300mAh battery which the company says can provide power to the device for up to two days.

As for its design, the main body of the watch is made of stainless steel and features either metallic or leather bands. Instead of designing it to look like a high-tech device, Huawei made the watch to appear like a traditional luxury timepiece.

Depending on the Watch's band, the price of the smartwatch ranges from $349 to $799. The basic black leather band attached to the silver case is the cheapest model while the most expensive variant features a gold-plated metallic link band.

Pre-orders for the Huawei Watch have already started through Amazon, Best Buy, Google Store and GetHuawei.com. The first batch of devices is expected to hit the U.S. on September 17.

As for Motorola's latest smartwatch, or the 2nd Generation Moto 360, the men's version of the device sports a slightly larger display than the Huawei Watch at 1.56 inches. The women's model, on the other hand, has a screen size of 1.37 inches, Android Central reported.

Both variants of the Moto 360 2015 edition have Gorilla Glass 3 screen protection and are powered by the Snapdragon 400. They have 4GB of RAM and 512MB of internal storage.

But aside from the men and women's versions, Motorola also unveiled the Moto 360 Sport. With almost the same size as the smaller variant, the Sport edition is equipped with a GPS chip and can track the distance covered by the user through a digital map, according to The Verge.

All three models feature a dial on its edge which can be used to access the devices' various features such as apps, step count and battery levels.

Like the Huawei Watch, the Moto 360 2015 also runs on the latest version of the Android Wear. It also sports a traditional timepiece look and has a customizable face and strap combination through Motorola's Moto Maker.

The new smartwatches from Motorola can now be pre-ordered from the company's website and ranges from $299.99 to $429.99. The devices are expected to be shipped out to buyers within the next few weeks.
