Eddie Redmayne is pretty keen on doing justice to his role as famed magizoologist Newt Scamander in the Harry Potter spin-off film "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" written by J.K. Rowling.
As a huge fan of Rowling's works, Redmayne feels incredibly blessed to be a part of the wizarding world she created, and considers his new role as a truly "extraordinary" experience.
"Like many people, I read those books, I watched those films, and became completely intoxicated by J.K. Rowling's world," he told Entertainment Weekly. "The idea of getting to tiptoe into it felt truly exciting. I hope it's going to be quite a ride."
They already began filming "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" last month at the U.K.'s Leavesden Studios in Hertfordshire, England - the same place where all eight "Harry Potter" films were shot as well. As mentioned, Rowling will be writing the script which would be directed by David Yates, the same man who helmed the last four "Harry Potter" films.
Redmayne might have been enthused talking about his involvement in "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," but the actor refused to divulge any spoilers related to the highly anticipated film, which would be released on November 18, 2016.
"I'm allowed to say absolutely nothing!" he said.
Aside from Redmayne, other stars of the film include "Inherent Vice" actress Katherine Waterston and "Transparent" actress Alison Sudol as the sisters (Porpen)Tina and Queenie.
"True Detective" star Colin Farrell will be Graves, while "Balls of Fury" star Dan Fogler will be playing Jacob, a Muggle (non-wizarding folk) who establishes a friendship with Scamander during his adventures.
"The Perks of Being a Wallflower" actor Ezra Miller, on the other hand, will be a wizard named Credence who crosses paths with Scamander at some point, while "Minority Report" actress Samantha Morton will be Mary Lou.
"Brooklyn" actress Jenn Murray will be Chastity, a young woman who just might be related to the character of Credence. Further, the film's newcomer is Faith Wood-Blagrove, who will be portraying Modesty - another young character whose role in Scamander's life still remains a mystery.
The studio believes that the Harry Potter spin-off will be quite the successful venture that they have already made plans of turning "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" into a trilogy, with the next two films scheduled on November 16, 2018 and November 20, 2020.
