Disney star Zendaya has never been one to take negative criticisms lying down. In yet another example of her stance against cyberbullying, Zendaya took on the Internet trolls who went on to slam the physical attributes of her parents - with some even going as far as saying that the Disney star's mom and dad are "ugly."
The issue came to light when Zendaya began posting photos of her mother and father in social media, according to E Online. While some of her fans and followers praised the family bonding moments and the closeness the Disney star has with her mom and dad, other Internet users took it upon themselves to criticize the look of the duo. Following the upload of the family pictures on social media, Zendaya found herself reading rude and insulting comments about her beloved parents such as "her parents really ugly I really would cry." This pushed Zendaya to respond to the haters and inform the rest of the world of how great her parents are.
"First I'm gonna pray for you," wrote Zendaya in response to the Internet trolls who criticized her parents' physical qualities. "While you're so concerned about what my parents look like, please know that these are two of the most selfless people in the world. They have chosen to spend their entire life, not worried about trivial things such as looks and insulting people's parents on Twitter, but instead became educators who have dedicated their lives to teaching, cultivating and filling young shallow mind. (One of the most important yet underpaid jobs we have)."
Zendaya then went on to share a piece of advice to her haters online. Instead of insulting other people's parents over the Internet, Zendaya told the Twitter user to learn to appreciate other people's sacrifices and his or her own beauty. She further wrote, "Please, log out, go to school, hug a teacher and read a textbook...and while you're at it, go look in the mirror and know that you too are beautiful, because such hateful things only stem from internal struggles. Bless you."
