The "19 Kids and Counting" family have been struggling to keep their heads up following the consecutive issues they have been dealing with since earlier this year. As the brood of Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar try to keep their lives together and maintain their cool despite the harsh criticisms thrown at the Duggar clan due to the inappropriate activities of Josh Duggar, the "19 Kids and Counting" family supporters and friends appear to be dwindling down in number. However, one person remains firmly behind Jill Duggar and Jessa Duggar amid all the controversies: Amy Duggar.

The more liberated cousin of Josh Duggar has always been proud of her relatives and hailed the "19 Kids and Counting" family as role models in her life. Amy Duggar, who is set to marry fiancé Dillon King soon, has been with the "19 Kids and Counting" clan since the early days of the Duggar fame but mostly kept herself in the background. With the onset of the issues plaguing the "19 Kids and Counting" family, however, Amy Duggar now rushes to the side of Josh Duggar's wife and is openly expressing her support for Anna Duggar.

"I gave Anna the biggest hug on the planet," shares Amy Duggar in an interview with PEOPLE Magazine. Josh Duggar's cousin further said, "I just wrapped my love around her."

Meanwhile, the "19 Kids and Counting" family provided an update on the situation of Josh Duggar and his family. In a blog post written by both Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar, the "19 Kids and Counting" heads shared that Josh Duggar has chosen to check himself in rehab to help him deal with his addiction and hopefully, become a better person once he checks out.

"We are so thankful for the outpouring of love, care and prayers for our family during this most difficult situation with Josh," wrote Jim Bob Duggar and wife Anna Duggar in the family's official website. The "19 Kids and Counting" family statement further read, "As parents we are so deeply grieved by our son's decisions and actions. His wrong choices have deeply hurt his precious wife and children and have negatively affected so many others. He has also brought great insult to the values and faith we hold dear."

Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar added, "Yesterday Josh checked himself into a long-term treatment center. For him it will be a long journey toward wholeness and recovery. We pray that in this he comes to complete repentance and sincere change."

The "19 Kids and Counting" heads went on to write, "In the meantime, we will be offering our love, care and devoted support to Anna and our grandchildren as she also receives counsel and help for her own heart and future." Josh Duggar's parents continued to say, "During this time we continue to look to God-He is our rock and comfort. We ask for your continued prayers for our entire family."
