2K Sports has just revealed the new additions to the roster of the upcoming "WWE 2K16" game.
According to the game publisher, the 12 new characters added to the list include veteran wrestlers and hall of famers.
As reported by IGN, the list includes Booker T, Colonel Mustafa, Emma, Eva Marie, General Adnan, Kalisto, Kane, Lord Steven Regal, Sin Cara, Summer Rae, Tamina and Triple H.
These playable characters will join the new bloods from the WWE universe such as Seth Rollins, Bad News Barrett, Daniel Bryan and Paige.
Stone Cold Steve Austin will also appear in the game and will be featured as its cover star.
"No disrespect to the previous and extremely deserving 'WWE 2K' cover superstars - Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and John Cena - but it's about time the franchise raised some hell with yours truly on the cover," the retired professional wrestler told MTV UK.
"I look forward to injecting a dose of 'Texas Rattlesnake' into this year's game and overall campaign," Austin added.
Aside from WWE wrestlers, the "WWE 2K16" will also feature an unlikely character. According to Gamespot, 2K Sports has added Arnold Schwarzenegger's Terminator character as a playable wrestler in the game. Gamers will get to play either the original Terminator from the 1984 film or the one featured in 1991's "Terminator 2: Judgment Day."
The character, however, will only be available to those who pre-order the game.
Veteran wrestling icon Hulk Hogan was supposed to be included in the upcoming game but was removed from the roster by 2K Sports. According to Polygon, the studio decided to drop Hogan, also known as Terry Bollea, due to the racists remarks he made a couple of years ago.
Various sources reported that in 2012, an unauthorized sex tape featuring Heather Clem and Hogan surfaced. In the clip, the wrestler was reportedly heard complaining about the African-American boyfriend of his daughter Brooke Hogan and repeatedly used a racial slur to refer to him.
Following the controversy, 2K Sports decided to remove Hogan from the roster of "WWE 2K16."
"We are highly respectful of the way that our partners choose to run their business and manage our partnership accordingly," the company told Polygon "We can confirm that Hulk Hogan will not appear in 'WWE 2K16.'"
"WWE 2K16" is scheduled to come out on October 27 and will be available for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 consoles.
