The latest 'Game of Thrones' season six photos could be the next reality check for fans hoping for Jon Snow's return from the dead.
Last Saturday, Watchers on the Wall published a number of photos from Magheramorne, the set location that serves as Castle Black for the hit HBO series. However, certain details in these images have become a problem for fans who wish for Kit Harington to stay in the program.
"A fair amount of smoke can be seen billowing from the set which can lead to some speculation of a certain bastard's fate," Watchers on the Wall contributor Nate wrote.
Due to the fact that Kit Harington has been spotted several times in Belfast, the speculation is that the 28-year-old actor will be filming Jon Snow's funeral right within Castle Black. However, this does not necessarily point towards the end of the actor's stay on 'Game of Thrones' season six.
"Jon Snow is dead," GeekFurious claimed. "Long live Azor Ahai; the Warrior of Light; the Son of Fire; the prince that was promised."
According to Twitter user Niam Weasley, who resides in Belfast, Harington was spotted with 'Game of Thrones' alum Rose Leslie at Costa Coffee on Tuesday, in company with "other Night's Watch people."
While Harington has already been spotted since filming for the upcoming season began, it remains interesting that Leslie, whose character was already killed off in the series, is in the Northern Ireland city as well, although dating rumors between the 'Game of Thrones' stars could be true.
Moreover, reports have now been claiming that Ned Stark is set to return to the series. This time, the noble head of House Stark will be returning to the hit HBO show as a younger version of the character that was shown in season one.
This week, reports point out that Sebastian Croft has signed on to the fantasy drama series as Ned Stark.
Several weeks ago, casting calls showed that ‘Game of Thrones’ will be adding a number of new cast members for season six.
Although HBO has limited the casting information disclosed to the public, the descriptions have left clues about some of the roles that are to be filled for the upcoming season.
"He has scenes where he has to spar with a wooden sword so physical skills are important," the casting notice stated. "A very good and memorable new part being introduced in this season."
In addition, another character is bound to return to Westeros in future episodes- the famous yet disliked Walder Frey.
David Bradley has announced his return to ‘Game of Thrones’ as the devious and cunning head of House Frey.
According to an interview with Zap2it, Bradley revealed at the 2015 Television Critics Association summer press tour that he is set to make his comeback on the hit fantasy drama series, although the 73-year-old actor has kept mum on which episodes his character will show up once again.
"He will be coming back, but I can't say when," Bradley said about his character's imminent return. "I can't really say because things are in a delicate situation."
’Game of Thrones’ season six is set to air in April on HBO.
