While Josh Duggar's cousin vehemently and repeatedly denies the accusations, fans online are adamant on the claims and social media has been abuzz with such speculations. With the recent update provided by the "19 Kids and Counting" family regarding the marital union of Amy Duggar and King on September 6, it looks like the detractors of Jim Bob Duggar's niece earned yet another round of ammunition.
"Amy's wedding will be September 6," revealed the official Facebook page of the "19 Kids and Counting" stars, called "Duggar Family News: Life is Not All Pickles and Hairspray." The announcement further wrote, "We only know this because the registries can't keep a secret. You have to enter Amy's name to see the registry." Following the instructions and the link provided by the "19 Kids and Counting" account handler, the full list of wedding presents requested by Amy Duggar and her fiancé can be seen here.
The post added, "She's asking for appropriate wedding gifts. No candy or Gatorade or electronics for her like her odd cousins." It could be recalled that Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard also used the same registry to let fans and followers of "19 Kids and Counting" know the wedding presents they look forward to receiving. True to the simplistic family values touted by the Duggar family, both Jill Duggar and her then fiancé opted to list relatively inexpensive items such as cereals and gift certificates to Papa John's pizza place.
The same arrangement was made by Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald. For their November 2014 wedding, Jessa Duggar and her then fiancé opted to list down reasonably priced home items from Bed & Beyond and Amazon. Among the items are gift cards from Starbucks and a picture frame. However, PEOPLE Magazine noted that Jessa Duggar and her husband asked for one particularly pricey item: an iPad mini.
In contrast, the wedding registry list of Amy Duggar and her future hubby include a Ralph Lauren comforter and sheets (US$169) along with Kate Spade kitchen items, according to In Touch Weekly. Two sets of 65-piece flatware from Oneida Moda worth $179 each are included as well. Micro cotton towels, pillows and blankets from Noble Excellence are also listed in the registry. Another notable item is the wastebasket from Kassatex Vizcaya worth $75, with another trash bin of a different brand worth $139.99. Audio speakers, travel suitcases and gourmet coffeemakers are included in the list as well.
