As more dreadful things have emerged in Beacon Hills, ‘Teen Wolf’ season five is set to bring on the highly anticipated character of the Desert Wolf in the form of actress Marisol Nichols, TVLine reported.
The mysterious character is the biological mother of Malia, played by Shelley Hennig on the MTV series.
Same as her daughter, the Desert Wolf is also a werecoyote, although Malia knows very little about her as she was taken into adoption by the Tate family shortly after her birth.
Earlier this season, Malia was stunned by a flashback she had, showing the night when her adoptive mother and sister were killed in a car accident.
While Hennig’s character once thought that she was to blame for their deaths, her most recent memory showed a female figure with two guns aiming and shooting at their vehicle.
Although she never saw the face of the vicious woman, Malia feels in her gut that it was the Desert Wolf.
Details about the exact episode as to when the Desert Wolf makes her debut are being kept mum. However, Lydia's flashback in the premiere of the fifth season implied that the mother-daughter reunion will not be a touching one.
Aside from starring in ‘NCIS,’ Nichols also appeared on Showtime's ‘Resurrection Blvd.,’ Fox's ‘24’ as well as ABC's ‘Blind Justice’ and ‘GCB.’ The 41-year-old actress is also set to make her next appearance in the upcoming season 11 of ‘Criminal Minds.’
For her big-screen projects, Nichols has signed on to the drama thriller ‘Lost Girls,’ which is directed by Julia Verdin and is set for a 2016 release.
‘Teen Wolf's’ next episode, entitled ‘Ouroboros,’ will air on Monday, Aug. 10 at 10 p.m. on MTV.
"Scott (Tyler Posey) and Malia set out to rescue their captured friends; and Deaton (Seth Gilliam) makes a horrific discovery about the Dread Doctors,” its synopsis states.
Meanwhile, Posey recently opened up about transition from a teenage wolf to a TV show host, sharing his ambition to become the next Ryan Seacrest.
"I kind of want to follow in Ryan Seacrest's footsteps," the actor shared in an interview with People, referring to his latest gig as co-host of Fox’s new game show ‘Knock Knock Live.’
The ‘Scary Movie 5’ star spoke up about his dreams of having his own radio show as well as starting a band, taking on directorial duties and producing his own work.
"I know I have a lot of ambitions, but I want to make them all happen," shared the actor, who is also producing his father John's one-man show ‘Father, Son & Holy Coach.’
Moreover, Posey is currently working as a producer on the fifth season of ‘Teen Wolf’ and assures fans that he does not plan on quitting acting.
"I want to do everything," he said. "I would never leave one ambition behind to move on to another."
