When musical legend Madonna and pop darling Taylor Swift collaborated on stage and performed the former's song "Ghosttown" out of the album Rebel Heart at the iHeartRadio Music Awards back in March, a worldwide sensation ensued.

A lot of people are hoping that the magical ensemble will transpire again, and it seems like Madonna is not ruling out that possibility, according to Entertainment Weekly.

"We were actually gonna do something together on stage," Madonna told guest editor Andy Cohen as they discussed her Instagram shoutout to Swift. "I didn't go to the show because I was rehearsing and I had to shoot a video the next day. I was kinda bummed."

Madonna shared a photo of her and Swift performing on stage prior to T-Swizzle's 1989 show at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium and wrote, "TS welcome to my Town!!! Have a great show tonight!! Wish I could be there!"

It could have been a happy reunion for both popular singers, but it just was not the case, unfortunately for fans. Still, Madonna has said that it might still happen one day. When pressed for details, she told Cohen: "I'm not gonna tell you, because we might still do it," she says. "You're very nosy. You just want to know everything."

Madonna also dished about her Rebel Heart tour, revealing that she prepared herself physically and emotionally to do the show. Plus, she would be singing a mix of her old and new material.

"Of course, the thing I'm most excited about doing is my new stuff, because I haven't done it yet and it's fresh," she said. "But I realize that people want to hear my older stuff, so for me it's always a tricky balance trying to keep some kind of continuity, not only with sound, sonically, but also thematically... a lot of times I have to take the songs and turn them inside out and make them more ironic than straightforward."

As for her 14-year-old son Rocco, Madonna said that she would love to have him perform with her on stage. Unfortunately, her son does not think she is "cool" enough and would much rather do something else than get on the stage.

"I think he's probably gonna work behind the scenes," she laughingly said. "He's not interested in performing on stage with me right now. There's way cooler things. Your mom is not that cool when you're 14."
