Game publisher Electronic Arts has teased a new content update for "The Sims 4."
According to the company, the upcoming "Cool Kitchen Pack" DLC features various new furniture, appliances and food items for the popular life simulation game, iDigital Times reported.
Through the DLC, gamers will be able to prepare new breakfast, lunch and dinner meal items for their Sims characters. They will also get a new Ice Cream Maker machine that offers up to 30 different flavors. EA noted that certain ice cream flavors can give Sims unusual abilities.
Also, gamers will be able to redecorate their virtual homes with additional cabinets and an entirely new kitchen setup with the latest update. The update also features new clothes designed for Sims that love to cook.
"Cool Kitchen Stuff' has everything you need to upgrade your Sim's kitchen, with new, sleek appliance and furnishings meant to help give the room a modern flare," EA wrote in the official "The Sims" website.
"From stylish cabinets with frosted glass doors to new stainless steel appliances, the stuff pack is filled with awesome new items to totally reinvent your Sim's kitchen," the company added. "Your Sims will look good as they create new delicacies thanks to new hairstyles and apparel perfect for any chef-to-be."
The "Cool Kitchen Stuff" DLC for the latest installment in "The Sims" franchise will be available on Aug. 11. It will then be shortly followed by the release of a free minor content update that will feature a dishwasher.
The new DLC pack will arrive a month after EA released "The Sims 4 Spa Day" content pack. In the wellness-themed DLC, players were given different new facilities including gyms, spas and Yoga studios.
They can also build these facilities inside their Sims's homes and customize their features. In addition, making their Sims practice Yoga regularly or giving massages to other characters will increase their Wellness Skill.
Also, as they level up through meditation, their Sims will be able to gain new supernatural abilities such as levitation and teleportation.
The skills and new items from the "Spa Day" and "Cool Kitchen Stuff" DLCs can be used with "The Sims 4 Get to Work" expansion pack, which lets gamers setup new businesses and professions for their characters.
"The Sims 4," which was developed by Maxis, officially came out in September of last year for the Microsoft Windows platform. It became available for OS X devices earlier in February.
