Jessica Alba is under fire as reports are surfacing regarding the ineffective of the Sunscreen Lotion offered by her Honest Company. Netizens have been abuzz for the past few days as an increasing number of pictures are getting posted online to attest to the product's failure to protect from the harmful rays of the sun. With consumers airing their complaints via social media, the Hollywood billionaire had no other recourse but to issue an explanation.

"The Honest Company is committed to providing safe and effective products, and we take all consumer feedback very seriously," Alba's company disclosed in an official statement released to PEOPLE Magazine. The company went on to state, "Our Sunscreen Lotion was tested, by an independent 3rd party, against the protocols prescribed by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration's (FDA) monograph for over-the-counter sunscreen products."

According to the statement, the test results on the Sunscreen Lotion showed that the product is "effective and safe for use as an 80 minute water-resistant (FDA's highest rating), SPF 30 sunscreen lotion in accordance with FDA regulations when used as directed." To illustrate the effectivity of the Sunscreen Lotion, the company pointed out that the number of people who submitted complaints with regard the ineffectual protection offered by the product only comprised "less than one half of one percent of all units actually sold at honest.com." With this figure in mind, Alba's company announced that the executives and creators of the product "stand behind the safety and efficacy" of the Sunscreen Lotion.

At the moment, the Honest Company's website indicates that the Sunscreen Lotion is actually one of their sold out products due to the increasing demand for it. Apart from pointing out the rigorous process by which the product came to be prior to its release to the market, Alba's Honest Company reiterated the instructions in terms of using the Sunscreen Lotion. According to the company, users must shake the bottle well before applying the lotion liberally and evenly to the skin 15 minutes before getting out. The Sunscreen Lotion should then be reapplied after 80 minutes of sun exposure which include activities like swimming or sweating. For maximum protection, the product should be reapplied every two hours.

While this type of situation might stress out anyone, Alba seems to be the best person to straighten things out. According to Taylor Swift, the actress gave off a "tough vibe," according to The Sun. Working together in her widely popular "Bad Blood" video, both Alba and Swift had the chance to bond. Asked on the veracity of Swift's claim regarding her toughness, Alba was quick to admit that her firmness when it comes to her work is rooted from the fact that she simply wants to get things done efficiently and on time.
