Amid the drama surrounding the heartbreaking split of Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck, another name is getting dragged into the issue: Catherine Ouzounian - the woman many reports are referring to as the third party in the divorce. While the "Gone Girl" actor vehemently denied any romantic involvement with Ouzounian, some media outlets are insistent that she is currently his love interest.
According to Us Weekly, sources close to Ouzounian claim that "Ben really, really likes her." The same report disclosed that the "Batman" actor and his rumored girlfriend are even discussing the possibility of living together under one roof. An insider said, "They've even talked about living together. She's saying this is true love." Ouzounian is identified as the nanny of Garner and Affleck's kids.
These rumors, however, were immediately slammed by a rep of the "Batman vs Superman" star. "The story is complete garbage and full of lies," Affleck's rep told Page Six. The statement added, "You shouldn't be able to hide behind 'blind sources' and attempt to destroy families going through a difficult time." The rep further blasted the reporters, singling out Us Weekly for its hand on spreading such allegedly deceitful stories. He said, "The tabloid [Us Weekly] decided to construct stories in order to sell magazines. It's like story time in kindergarten. It's shameful and desperate."
Meanwhile, PEOPLE Magazine points to additional information regarding the reported relationship between the "Gone Girl" star and Ouzonounian. According to the report, the nanny was actually with Affleck when he brought his children, Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3, to Bahamas days prior to the announcement of his divorce from Garner.
Upon the arrival of the "Miracles from Heaven" star, both Affleck and his alleged romantic partner departed from the Bahamas to attend a charity poker event held in Las Vegas, according to one of the nanny's friends. PEOPLE further quoted the said source to have described Garner as "livid" over the discovery of the affair between the "Batman" actor and Ouzonounian.
PEOPLE added that photos of both Affleck and the nanny surfaced online, showing the two visiting the rental home of the "Batman vs Superman" star on July 17. The same incident was picked up by Entertainment Tonight which elaborated that Ouzounian brought champagne to Affleck's house on that day. However, the report noted that the paparazzi were tipped regarding the supposed romantic rendezvous by the nanny herself.
Apart from the comment issued by a rep of the "Gone Girl" star, no other statements were released since the issue broke.
