The upcoming ‘Arrow’ and ‘The Flash’ spinoff series, ‘Legends Of Tomorrow,’ has already been set for a premiere in January 2016. Executive producer Marc Guggenheim just revealed that the first few episodes of ‘The Flash’ season two and ‘Arrow’ season four will put forward the foundation of the upcoming characters for the highly anticipated DC Comics series.
As such, fans of ‘The Flash’ and ‘Arrow’ series have been given ample reason as to why they should look forward to the new CW show.
‘The Flash’ viewers may have been impressed with the time travel concept introduced in the first season, but ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ is expected to boost the time travel concept and take it to an entirely different level, particularly with the elements of alternate timelines and multiverses.
"We'll be going to some not just incredible places, but some incredible moments,” Guggenheim teased.
‘Legends Of Tomorrow’ showrunner Phil Klemmer opened up to Entertainment Weekly about what fans can expect when it comes to the time travel concept, saying: "They're screwups. Instead of tiptoeing through history, they're plodding through it, leaving their footprints and fingerprints and constantly having to wonder whether they're going to screw the future up rather than fix it... It's going to be total madness.”
In addition, Caity Lotz will return as Sara Lance aka White Canary. The character will be brought back to life in the upcoming season of ‘Arrow’ before appearing in ‘Legends Of Tomorrow,’ as confirmed by Guggenheim.
Lotz has already shared how thrilled she is in returning to ‘Arrow’ and becoming involved in the upcoming DC spinoff series.
“I was really surprised, because I thought we made it pretty clear that Sara was dead this time - three arrows to the heart, falling off a building and cracking onto the cement,” the actress shared. “I was definitely surprised and excited especially when you play a character for so long you become really attached to them."
Furthermore, besides their own solo series, the Green Arrow and the Scarlet Speedster are also expected to show up in ‘Legends Of Tomorrow.’
As hinted by the producers, fans should look forward to multiple crossovers between the programs, which are expected to boost the entertainment level offered by the upcoming spinoff series.
As confirmed by actor Grant Gustin, The Flash will play a special role in the first few episodes of ‘Legends of Tomorrow.’
"I'm going to be a part of that right out of the gates as well," Gustin shared. "I get to be Flash on three TV shows [‘Arrow,’ ‘The Flash’ and ‘Legends of Tomorrow’]. I was unemployed a year and a half ago, so that's pretty cool."
'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' hits the small screen in January 2016.
