In the final episode of ‘Game of Thrones’ season five, Sansa (Sophie Turner) and `Theon (Alfie Allen) found themselves facing a narrow opportunity to escape Winterfell. As Ramsay (Iwan Rheon) was battling out with Stannis' (Stephen Dillane) army, the pair of Northern childhood friends courageously decided to leap off the castle's high ledge and save themselves from the brutal Bolton bastard.

Due to the fact that Sansa's storyline on the TV adaptation has been greatly different from the book, there have been a number of speculations as to where exactly she will go next, particularly with Theon.

Meanwhile, the only son of Balon Greyjoy is closely following his story from the books, heading into the same direction with how his character was left off towards the last few chapters of George R.R. Martin's ‘A Dance With Dragons.'

However, the circumstances that he have come across with on the TV series have significantly changed, easily predicting how his next tasks in the upcoming season will be of great difficulty.

As fans continue to mull over the wide range of possibilities for the return of ‘Game of Thrones’ next year, a number of speculations have been made as to where Sansa and Theon might go to in the sixth season.

First, it is likely that showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss had allowed Sansa to save herself from Winterfell and put her back to where she currently is in the books- the Vale of Arryn.

Fans who have come across the books have read that, in a ‘Feast for Crows,’ Sansa remained in the Vale where she later on assumed the identity of Littlefinger’s non-existing
bastard daughter Alayne Stone.

Eventually, Littlefinger reveals his schemes of marrying her to Harrold Hardyng, the Arryn heir after her cousin Robert- known as Robin in the series.

Baelish also shares his future plans of unveiling Sansa’s true identity and reclaiming Winterfell in her name.

However, while Theon was placed nowhere near the Vale in the books, certain deviations from the source material could lead to his TV counterpart accompanying Sansa on her journey back to to the Arryns' territory.

Another speculation is the possibility of the pair heading to Castle Black as Sansa believes that her bastard brother Jon Snow (Kit Harington) is still living and is currently the Lord Commander of the Night's Watch, although the fact that the Wall is teeming with thieves and rapists could lead to a risky journey for the pair.

Finally, Sansa and Theon could be travelling south to Iron Island, the Greyjoys’ homeland. Interestingly, Gemma Whelan has been confirmed to return and reprise her role as Theon’s sister, Yara, in the sixth season.

With more plot details yet to be confirmed, ‘Game of Thrones’ will make its season six premiere on HBO in April next year.
