If there is one member of the Avengers who seems to be overlooked most of the time, then that would have to be Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye. His fellow comrades all possess superhuman powers and abilities that his archery ability just pales in comparison. However, the actor has guaranteed that he will have a meatier role in the next Marvel film "Captain America: Civil War."

"It's more active," he told Screen Rant about his role in the movie. "A lot of fun stuff happening in that one. I can't speak too much for it. They're still filming that sucker right now. But yeah, there's a lot of stuff happening in that one physically for me anyway. Then who knows in the future? I don't know what's going to happen."

Renner's Hawkeye will be in "Captain America: Civil War" together with Chris Evans as Captain America, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Scarlett Johanssen as Black Widow, Anthony Mackie as Falcon, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, and even Paul Rudd as Ant-Man. The film would also introduce new characters such as Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther.

As for his involvement in the next Avengers film, "Avengers: Infinity Wars Part 1 and 2," Renner said that he is lucky that Marvel has big plans for all of their superheroes and characters, so all of the players involved have secure jobs in the next few years.

"It's always great to know that you are going to have a job next year or something. That's a fantastic blessing for any actor," he said. "It's nice to be able to continue things and characters that you've kind of grown with. But it's always great to have new faces come in. They're not big on replacing people and characters so much, which I think is smart, because there's so many different characters. I think there's going to be a lot of new faces coming up in that world. I'm happy just to be a part of that big universe."

Marvel will indeed be expanding their universe especially now that they are working on the "Doctor Strange" film, which would star British actor Benedict Cumberbatch as the title character. "The Notebook" star Rachel McAdams is reportedly in talks with the studio to play the movie's female lead, while award-winning actress Tilda Swinton will be playing Dr. Stephen Strange's mentor called The Ancient One.

"Captain America: Civil War" will be released on May 6, 2016 while "Doctor Strange" has been set for November 4, 2016.
