An online retailer based in Brazil has released a promotional video showing off the specs and design of the upcoming Moto G 3rd Gen handset days before its rumored released.

The details revealed by the clip coincide with previous reports regarding the features of the 2015 edition of the device, Android Authority reported.

According to the video posted on YouTube by Brazilian shopping site Americanas, the Moto G 2015 will sport a 5-inch HD display. It will be powered by the quad-core 1.4GHz Snapdragon 410 chipset from Qualcomm and will come with either 8GB or 16GB of internal storage. The clip also mentioned that the device will have a microSD card slot which can expand the device's native memory up to 32GB.

For its camera features, the device will house a 13-megapixel main shooter and a 5-megapixel selfie snapper.

In addition, the video revealed that the Moto G 3rd Gen has IPX7 certification, confirming previous rumors that the upcoming budget-friendly device from Motorola will be water resistant. This rating indicates that the device can still be used after being submerged in 1-meter-deep water for around 30 minutes.

The device is expected to come in black and white front housing color options. The back panels, on the other hand, will be available in cherry, cabernet, blue, raspberry, turquoise, black, gold yellow, white, lime and navy, according to The Verge. As indicated in the clip users will have the option to change the back plates with a differently colored one.

Also, despite being an entry-level device, the Moto G 2015 will run on the latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop as its stock OS.

The video, however, did not indicate when the handset will be debuted by Motorola. However, previous reports have speculated that the company might unveil the Moto G 3rd Gen on July 28. According to various sources, the company has been sending out invites for a special event that will be held in London and New York on this date.

It was not directly mentioned in the invitations that the new Moto G device will be launched later this month. But since the theme of the event is about people's special relationships with their smartphones, sources assumed that Motorola is actually referring to the next Moto G edition.

Despite the release of new information regarding the handset, Motorola has not yet confirmed if the details surrounding the Moto G 3rd Gen are true. Hopefully, these will be clarified by the company on July 28.
