In celebration of their 31st wedding anniversary, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar shared special love notes to each other on their blog. Other than his sweet message for his wife, Jim Bob also gave Michelle a shimmering surprise.
The Duggar politician took a video of his partner’s reactions as she opened a piece of jewelry custom-designed by the patriarch himself in time for their July 21 anniversary.
In the video posted on the Duggar family’s official Youtube channel, Jim Bob lets his wife open the special gift and amazes her with a distinctive piece of jewelry.
The custom-designed ring is comprised of the birthstones of all of the couple’s 19 children. As noted by the voice on the video, Jim Bob worked on the ring himself to incorporate all of the stones and Michelle can be seen being excited over her new bling.
The gemstones included on the Duggar matriarch’s newest ring included aquamarine for Josh; garnet for Jana, John David and Joseph; emerald for Jill and Jackson; topaz for Jessa and Justin; turquoise for Jinger, Jordyn-Garce and Josie, Jedidiah and Jeremiah; peridot for Josiah and Jennifer; opal for Joy-Anna and Johannah; diamond for Jason and ruby for James.
The Duggar family also posted a throwback photo of the famous couple on their wedding day. Michelle was only 17-years-old when she exchanged vows with 19-year-old Jim Bob in Arkansas
"Happy 31st Anniversary, Dad & Mom! We love you!" the caption read.
Aside from the one special ring comprised of numerous gemstones, the Duggars also celebrated their wedding anniversary by sharing love letters for each other on the family’s official blog.
In Michelle’s note to her husband, she stated how she feels about his best qualities, including fear of God and humility.
“Recently, when one of our daughters asked, ‘Mom, what one quality should I look for in a future spouse?’, as I considered the answer, I realized what it is that I admire so much in you, Jim Bob,” Michelle wrote. “It is that you LOVE & HONOR God and in humility you are open & transparent with me, simply put, HUMILITY and the FEAR OF THE LORD.”
The TV personality also added that she remains grateful for her husband to share his love, hopes, dreams, strengths, weaknesses, victories and failures with his wife.
In the same way, Jim Bob wrote a note for Michelle, stating that she is the “greatest blessing” of his life and truly exemplifies a “Proverbs 31 wife.”
“She is my best friend, we share everything. Michelle is selfless, always thinking of others first,” Jim Bob shared. “She is an example to millions of women, her children rise up and call her blessed. Michelle is my business partner, ministry team companion and the mother of our 19 children.”
Josh and Anna Duggar’s new addition to the family, baby Meredith Grace, also briefly appeared in the video together with postpartum mother, Anna.
