There has been more evidence that Jon Snow could be making an appearance in the sixth season of ‘Game of Thrones’ as actor Kit Harington was recently spotted in Belfast where the other cast members of the hit HBO series arrived to begin production.

A leaked photo of the 28-year-old actor arriving at the Belfast International Airport in time for the filming of the upcoming season has fueled speculations that the well-loved character could be coming back in season six.

Moreover, all throughout July, a number of individuals have spotted the ‘Pompeii’ actor on the streets of the Northern Irish capital.

One eyewitness reportedly ran into Harington and shook his hand but the actor explained that he was not allowed to have pictures taken, possibly to avoid exposing the true fate of his character, who was believed and confirmed by the directors to have died in season five’s finale.

When ‘Game of Thrones’ viewers last saw Jon, he fell to the ground, lifeless and bleeding out on the grounds of Castle Black after being stabbed by members of the Night's Watch.

The Lord Commander’s death in the scene penned by author George R.R. Martin in the book, ‘A Dance With Dragons,’ seemed indefinite. However, Harington himself appeared to accept the possibility of having to look for a new acting gig.

"I'm quite dead," the British actor previously said in an interview with NY Daily News. "It's over for Jon Snow — at the very least, he gets to join his family and kin and leave this terrible world behind."

However, fans continue to put forward their theories about Harington’s character, particularly his resurrection from the dead or the possibility that he survives the betrayal of the Night’s Watch.

It is also likely that the ‘Seventh Son’ star’s presence in Belfast could suggest that Jon will make a special appearance in flashback sequences.

"You know we do film funeral scenes, too," a source close to the ‘Game of Thrones’ production claimed.

Another theory suggests that the red priestess Melisandre, who was seen going back to The Wall moments before Jon was stabbed, will make use of her powers to bring him back to life.

Addressing such rumor, actress Carice van Houten who plays Melisandre, spoke to reporters at the San Diego Comic-Co, saying: "No, he can't be dead. No!"

She also added: "I've seen that on the internet; like I've seen stuff saying 'we'll forgive you if you save him'."

‘Game of Thrones’ season six has been set for an official premiere in spring 2016, although a date is yet to be announced.
